Hop Hop Hooray for Easter

Good Morning Bunnies. Did you know that I LOOOOOOOOOOVE Easter? Well, now you do.

I don't think it was a coincidence the sweets and I were married one little week before Easter two years ago, and as we have celebrated our anniversary over the past two years (you know, because we've been married for two sold years, NBD) I have been excited both years to keep the party rolling into Easter celebrations. Last year we went to the House of Blues Gospel Brunch and then took a boat tour around Disney. It was dreamy.

Well, this year I tried to pre-empt the holiday with a little homemade decorating magic. I janked this Pinterest DIY burlap wreath tutorial and put my own little Spring twist on things. The best part about my burlap Easter wreath is that it is holiday interchangeable! I already have a black and gold football wreath in the works... what? Is it too early for football?

The tutorial suggesting hot gluing velcro to all of the rosettes so that you can change them out for pink and red valentine's flowers, etc. but my smartypants husband suggested pins and I think this works even better (plus it was way easier).

I had definitely planned to include different styles of "rosettes," more white flowers, and even some embellishments like buttons on the flowers but I a) got lazy b) just wanted to see this thing done and c) was running out of time to display this baby pre-Easter. I think it turned out great though and it was super simple to make. Can you see the pins? Smarty pants husband!

As Easter is right around the corner I thought I'd share a little inspiration/motivation with you to get your morning going: "Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up" - Galatians 6:9.

Ooops, how'd this get in here??

Have a great day!

Happy Anniversary Mr. Ford! Thank you for making me the happiest wife ever over the past two crazy years. I can't wait for all of the adventures we have ahead of us; no matter where life takes us, I'm home when I'm with you. You're my dream come true and I love you so much.

Dorothy Perkins, Anyone?

Have you ever shopped online through Dorothy Perkins? Shipping to the US is $10 flat rate but they have a mountain of sale items all under $25, including these fun dresses! Seriously... $25!

Maybe I'm behind the times but I hadn't heard much about this company before stumbling upon them and their super deals. Their site kind of looks like the British version of Forever 21. If so, most of these dresses would unfortunately be pornographically short on me. WHY forever 21, WHY? For all you short-stemmed ladies, let me know how the length is on these duds when you buy your first $17 dress :)

And for all of my pregger friends out there that have been searching for the perfect pair of leopard print maternity leggings... look no further:

(I feel like it is my duty to send the link to these to Snooki) ;)

One Day Baby

Not sure if you've noticed the growing list of nursery, baby and mommyhood blog links along my sidebar here but there's definitely been a sea change to the BMF winds these past few months. DON'T GET TOO EXCITED, there is no hurry in our scurry, but yes, the sweets are baby obsessed over at the Ford house.

That said, I thought I'd share my fav baby blogs with you this morning. Lay Baby Lay is so damn cute, the best part being these very grown up and chic nursery design inspirations that melt my heart and make it VERY difficult to not run out and redecorate our guest bedroom. So many nurseries tend to look like an explosion of powder pink or blue, and I might just jump on that bandwagon once we have baby Ford on board, but for now, it is so refreshing to see nursery designs that fit with mom and dad's grown-up style.

One of my favorite designs from the sight is called "glam-o-rama" but it wasn't uploading nicely. Click the link to swoon. This ocean themed nursery scheme is just too much cuteness. Yep, it's called First Little Mate:

A few for the ladies:

Sigh, I'm very excited for ONE-day baby and for all of the decorating that will come with. :)

2nd Anniversary Trip to the MK

Huzzah! The Happiest Place on Earth! Do we look happy or WHAT?!

Ok, I'm getting a little ahead of myself here. For our second wedding anniversary (can you believe it!) the sweets and I rolled down the road to Magic Kingdom for some QT. We had such a blast, as evidenced here in these thousand photos!

No, that's not our car but we have no shame :)

We pretty much hung out together, laughed and ate all day. It was perfection.

On a romantic adventure (awwwww)

I'm not sure if you understand our extreme love of the pineapple Dole Whip in Adventureland. Apparently, we aren't the only ones. Check out that line!

Worth it.

Having a blast in Tomorrow land. Guess what Lindzee... they sell churros there too! (She'll be happy to know that).

I love this guy.

OH we made some wishes.

Our very favorite (I know this is old school but it's the best) Prince Charming's Carousel.

Disney World has some beautiful lakes, just right for pictures in front of sunsets.

For our special anniversary dinner, Jonathon and I ate a romantic dinner at the Plaza Restaurant with a beautiful view of the castle at sunset. Of course there was also just enough dessert to share :)

Jonathon is so sweet to me, he knows the teacups are my favorite ride :)

Peep this insane castle! For Cali girls like me used to Aurora's castle, this Cinderella business is a lot to take in. Last time we went to the Magic Kingdom (the only other time we've been) we actually got to eat IN the castle and watch the fireworks from inside. It was AMAZING.

The souvenir I wanted so badly... a $20 bag of Styrofoam! Aren't these cute? Mickey antenna balls for each holiday, OH except Christmas, that was it's own entire separate bag! WANT.

The magic and the memories :)

It was such a great day and way to spend our anniversary together. I can't wait to go back again soon. :D

LOVE you sweeties!
